We’ve been bouncing all over the map this week.

Started at Camp Souveraineté on Nehirowisiw territory, standing with land defenders holding down the line against colonial logging.

Then dropped down to Kanehsatake, Mohawk territory, reconnecting with warriors still rooted in a long, unbroken tradition of resistance.

From there, we headed back north to Wemotaci, where we linked up with the Gardien·nes du Territoire — watching them keep close surveillance on the CN rail lines, blocking shipments of stolen wood. Successfully. It was heartening. Brought us right back to the energy of #ShutdownCanada in 2020. That fire is still burning.

Pas de scène. Pas de salle. Juste le feu, la résistance, et des récits portés de génération en génération.

Watching this film on the land it speaks to, with the people it speaks for, was powerful and grounding.
