Der aus der Kohleförderung im Rheinischen Bergbaurevier resultierende ökologische Wahnsinn erreicht die nächste Stufe. Um die Tagebaue Hambach und Garzweiler mit Wasser aufzufüllen und die von RWE versprochenen Freizeitresorts zu schaffen, soll der Rhein mit einer Menge von 18 Kubikmetern pro Sekunde abgepumpt werden.

Offensichtlich ist RWE noch nicht bekannt, dass auch in Deutschland Süsswasserknappheit existiert, dass die Gletscher der Alpen in absehbarer Zeit verschwunden sein werden und auch von dort immer weniger trinkbares Wasser die Flüsse Deutschlands erreichen wird.
Da die Auffüllung der beiden Tagebaue Jahrzehnte dauern wird, während derer sich die Klimakatastrophe steigern wird, handelt es sich hier wohlwollend gesagt um einen Schildbürgerstreich, im Klartext allerdings um einen Angriff auf die Lebensressourcen aller Menschen.
