Cat advice needed!

Trooper, 12M here has been fur pulling. It's nerves, not allergies. Always the same side. Been working with his vet, and are getting close to having to give him anxiety meds.

He pulls when home alone. Walking in the door after being out for the day and we are greeted with fur piles. If he thinks he is home alone he starts this horribly anxious crying.

I am thinking about getting him a friend is better than meds. A friend so he isn't alone when we aren't home.

Anyone have experience in getting an older cat a friend?

Shinjuku really likes sitting inside this oversized plastic bag on top of my suitcase. I put it away when I’m not nearby because it doesn’t seem safe unattended. I wonder what I could get for her that would be safe and she’d like as much. She has a soft cat house that she never uses. PS- If you have a cat that’s understimulated or has a lot of energy they need to burn off - I highly recommend doing this tunnel system and playing with them while they’re zooming or chilling in it (when you can) otherwise leave it out for them overnight to play in! #cat #catcaretips #catadvice

So...I have a neutered 5 year old male cat weighing 7.20 Kg with a bad temper and I need to introduce him to a spaded 2kg shy turtle-hair lady cat...the gentleman cat is not happy at all and he growls all over the place, even if they're in separate rooms. He used to own the whole house by himself; I take it he's being very territorial.
Any advice so I don't die from the injuries?

We've been home to the new cat - Kit - for exactly a week now.
The instructions were to keep her indoors for 4-6 weeks.

She's pining to go out, but we know it's a very bad idea at the moment.
She's 9 years young so very used to going into gardens.
I think we all might manage another week of this!

I'm trying to train her with a rattly tin of treats to get her to associate the sound with home & nice things.

Any other advice?

I need help with my kitties from the wonerful kitty owners here, because I really don't want to have to rehome one of them :)

I have 2 kitties, both indoor cats. Harleyqueen is elderly and a rescue we got 5 years ago. She is sweet, gentle, and just wants a chilled life. The other is Prince, 2 years old, who we got as a kitten as company for Harleyqueen. They bonded immediately and have been really close since, however lately Prince has been attacking her and biting her legs and neck, a lot. Sometimes he's playing and other times he is trying to assert dominance (theyve both been 'done' so its not a sex thing). Harleyqueen hates it and has become quite nervous and always hiding from him.

He is otherwise very loving and so adorable, and we love them both so much, but this is not fair on Harleyqueen :(

Got him a cat wheel to try and burn off some energy, and he loves it, and also make sure we spend a lot of time playing with him eg lazer pointers and feather chasers etc. But he will still attack her and ive had to shut him out the main living area to give Harleyqueen a break sometimes.

Any ideas?? 😭

My mom's cat Mia was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and my mom is having a hard time testing Mia's BG because she's struggling to hold her/keep her still and poke her at the same time.

Does anyone have a suggestion or experience with this? My mom lives alone so two-person methods cannot work.

#Cat friends, I need help. 6 months post PU surgery, our cat -- who we know is now happy and healthy -- continues to pee on soft surfaces throughout the house. He does have some anxiety issues, but when we've observed him doing this, he doesn't SEEM anxious. In fact, the opposite.

Insights as to why he's doing this, and advice on how to change the behavior, would be most appreciated!
