Final roasted product! It went a little farther than I wanted, but the headlamp I was using ran out of batteries and I had no visual of the roast at the end. These are halfway between first and second crack, I believe. I was aiming for slightly lighter. This is REALLY consistent roasting compared with my usual. #coffee #roasting #diy #coffeeroaster

Variable power bench (er... floor) supply. The drill works! (Snagged it for free somewhere) 1.0V to 2.0V seems more than adequate for a slow rotation. Shaft off an old printer, will need to be cut down with a hacksaw. Various YouTube versions seem to make the sifter part removable with some kind of shaft coupling. Needs a metal plate for a "wobble roaster" to stir the beans. #diy #coffeeroaster #coffee
