Dementia doctor explains what is happening to Trump
David Pakman Show

youtube.com/watch?v=rCV2hZc76R

This video does not do quite what the caption seems to claim. Nonetheless, it is a very interesting look at the cognitive functioning of Joe Biden, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and Donald Trump.

Years ago, I looked up the word, "confabulate" or "confabulation," online; and my searches, at that time, turned up no hits defining the word as used in this video. So, that short passage here is worth some special attention. Confabulation is closely associated with alcohol abuse; but it stems from brain damage and, as far as I am aware, it is not strictly limited to alcoholics. Confabulation involves saying things, occasionally somewhat elaborate stories, that are fictitious but that the speaker says as though it is true. It is different from lying.

New US research:
Constipation Associated with Cognitive Aging and Decline

Plus, Gut Bacteria Linked to Alzheimer’s Biomarkers, Dementia Risk

Key Takeaways:

Chronic constipation — one bowel movement every three days or more — could signal worsening cognition.

People who were chronically constipated had worse cognition equal to three years of aging, according to the study, which is the first to look at constipation’s potential impact on the aging brain.

The new findings add to mounting research aligning a healthy gut with a healthy brain.

AMSTERDAM, JULY 19, 2023 — Experiencing less frequent bowel movements is associated with cognitive decline, according to new research reported today at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference® (AAIC®) 2023, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and online.
