Ended the week and welcomed the blue skies that started the weekend with Kosmischer Pitch by Jan Jelinek, released on ~scrape in 2005.

What the press said about Kosmischer Pitch back in 2005:

"Lithiummelodie 1 by Jan Jelinek is a strange and bewitching seven-minute wordless composition that slowly builds from a sparse industrial beginning to something far more organic and mesmerising. The track builds layer upon layer using samples that seem fairly unremarkable in themselves, but which culminate in a sonically rich piece with an energetic melody. I couldn't resist scatting a vocal over "Lithiummelodie 1" as I listened, (well I am a singer that loves a little scat in the privacy of my own home) but it got away."
David Bowie

„Like the cosmic compositions it delicately references, Kosmischer Pitch is proof that the higher and lower pleasures can triumphantly combine.”

Opal by Embryo, released on Ohr in 1970.

...their debut album released in 1970 which caused none other than Miles Davis to describe them as "crazy creative musicians playing really weird stuff"

Embryo's band leader Christian Burchard (drummer/percussionist) was at the time hanging out with the Amon Duul commune of freaks who had a symbiotic influence on each other's music.. I love Edgar Hoffman huge electric-violin and sax work here which really brings home the fusion of jazz and psych elements that they were intending to explore. Best way to maybe describe this album would be to imagine a sax playing fusion- era Miles Davis, aka Bitches Brew, with a touch of Can and Amon Duul II tossed into the equation. The album is a drastic fusion of rock, jazz, blues, soul and psychedelia and is a true milestone in the genre of psychedelic progressive rock." - Soundohm

Durch die Wüste is the first full-length solo album by German keyboardist Hans-Joachim Roedelius, best known for his work with Cluster, Harmonia, and Aquarello. The title is German for "Through the Desert."

The music on Durch Die Wüste was recorded over a two-year period from 1976 to 1978 at Conny's Studio outside of Cologne, Germany. Conny Plank and Dave Hutchins served as sound engineers and was co-produced by Roedelius and Plank. It was released by Sky Records in 1978...

In reviewing the album for Allmusic, Keith Farley writes, in part: "Though these tracks often stray from beatless space music (the opener 'Am Rockzipfel' flits back and forth between electronic hard rock and space), the musical structures employed certainly suggest ambience, from the classical melodies of the title track to the gaseous atmosphere of 'Glaubersalz.'" Durch Die Wüste has received numerous highly favorable reviews.

Ended Wednesday and welcomed Thursday after a swim with Cluster & Eno a collaborative album by German electronic music group Cluster and English ambient musician Brian Eno. The style of this album is a collection of gentle melodies: a mixture of Eno's ambient sensibilities and Cluster's avant-garde style.

In June 1977, the duo of Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius joined with Brian Eno for recording sessions at Conny Plank's studio. The first release from those sessions on Sky Records was Cluster & Eno. Guest musicians on the album included Can bassist Holger Czukay and Asmus Tietchens on synthesizer. The association with Eno, already well known for involvement with pop acts like Roxy Music, brought Cluster a much wider audience than previous albums and international attention. - Wikipedia

UFO by Guru Guru released on Ohr in 1970.

The Book of Seth wrote on Head Heritage:

"As demonstrated on their first pair of albums for the German Ohr label, Guru Guru were the loosest, most experimental and most out there of all power trios of the early seventies. And the title of their debut “UFO” album was appropriate, as many of the sounds within are not immediately identifiable. Although the drums and guitars are recognisable enough, lodged as they are between breeze blocks of heaving, sprawling abandon where all manner of contact microphone misuse, tweaking of volume knobs on both amplifiers and guitars while everything else coursed through all manner of fuzztone and echo boxes to make the studio air hang heavy and leaden as it curled at the corners like burning parchment and loads of fuck-knows-what-else..."
