At ETH Zurich's Robotic Systems Lab, Scheidemann, Cramariuc & Hutter present a mouth joystick and voice command interface for a quadrupedal assistance robot with an arm, showcased at CYBATHLON 2024, winning first place. Pilot Samuel Kunz operates the robot in a mailbox-opening task. arxiv.org/html/2405.07445v1

In this work, Carmen Scheidemann, Andrei Cramariuc & Marco Hutter from the Robotic Systems Lab at ETH Zurich present a mouth joystick control interface, augmented with voice commands, for an independent quadrupedal assistance robot with an arm. They validate and showcase their system in the CYBATHLON Challenges 2024 Assistance Robot Race, where they solve four everyday tasks in record time, winning first place.
