Unusual double-cover on golden-age Detective Comics โ„– 99 (1945).

I'd better fix this... ๐Ÿคจ The inner cover didn't get our store stamp! ๐Ÿ˜‰

A photo of a Golden-Age comic to which two covers were attached during binding. The outer cover is arched to expose a portion of the identical cover underneath.

The cover is light blue. A dark blue top border contains the words, "No. 99 May...Ten Cents." In the top left corner is a small circular bust of Batman with a green background and a small banner with his name. In the top right corner is a small white circle with another inside. The border reads, "Detective Comics," with "DC" in the inner circle. A large yellow banner with black edges and red lettering makes up the top third of the cover, proclaiming "Detective Comics." Below this is an illustration of Batman and Robin spinning The Penguin around inside one of his own trick umbrellas. Near the handle of the umbrella is a store-stamp, that reads "Bonnett's, Ohio's Largest Dealers in Back-Issue Magazines," arranged in three lines.
