Prince performed an iconic rendition of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" during the 2004 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony (the year he was himself inducted).
Prince's solo was so powerful that The NYT headline read "The Day Prince's Guitar Wept the Loudest". Although he did rehearse with the band, due to some miscommunication among all the various performers, Prince never actually played his solo publicly prior the live performance.
