Unfortunately I had to leave early and already say goodbye to #ERUA summit 2024, Transformative Social Innovation. It was an amazing event, so well and beautifully organized by the hosting institution, Mykolo Romanis University. I am not easily impressed with obligatory speeches and programmes, but this time, being greeted by an Ode to Joy performance and authentic speech about European Communion and visionary aspirations for higher education, I am touched and feeling a strong spark of inspiration and ambition. While the overall event could barely be improved in material regard. However, it had been a pleasure and delight to share my experiences in teaching and doing hackathons at university. I learned a lot about interdisciplinary teaching experiments and projects supporting vulnerable groups such as homeless, elderly, and asylum seekers that can benefit directly from academic resourses and expertises - making it a suitable topic for altruist innovation activities at our institution.
