From Z Cars to pandemonium, the final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park will inevitably bring FA charges for both clubs for failing to control their players (provocative Doucoure, aggressive Jones), and a fine for the pitch invasion. But what a send-off. Even on TV, the thunder came through.

And what a job Moyes has done at Everton. He's that perfect mix of long experience and unsated hunger, organising and motivating players and tapping into the emotion of the fans. He knows what works and players buy into it. Everton deserved that point. Branthwaite MOTM imho. Tarkowski equaliser legitimate (no offside, and the ‘foul’ would have been soft).
