We're docked at Santander today but drove to the village of Comillas to visit El Caprichio de Gaudí, one of the famous architect's earliest designs and one of very few outside Barcelona. Lovely inside, a wonderful place you'd really want to live in, but it's the beautifully mad exterior that we really wanted to admire in person. Fabulous building.

A building with an unusual design and unusual apparent texture stands surrounded by cobbled paths and bushes on an overcast day. The building has many curves to its light brick walls which are punctuated by lines of mainly green and yellow tiles. On the left there is a tall, circular tower with a top section separated so as to almost appear as a flame if it was all made of colourful Lego bricks.
