Goodyear FG-1D Corsair, take off. This aircraft was, like many other Corsairs, built by the Goodyear Co. under licence, hence the US Navy designation FG. A number of Goodyear-built Corsairs were supplied to the Royal Navy under Lend Lease during WW2. The model corresponds to the Vought F4U-1. Corsairs were also built by the Brewster Aeronautical Corporation, but that contract was terminated early.
