I bought a Jinhao 159 pen a little while back, and due to it being rather chunky I have to use a syringe to fill the converter which works well enough. I left it filled on its side this morning for a couple hours and it was still dry, so I started gently turning the converter knob to push ink into the nib but it still didn't flow. It was only on dipping the nib into the ink that it started to work. Is this normal or am I doing it wrong / could do it better? Any advice? Thanks. #fountainpens #fpquestions

What are your favorite permanent inks? I mostly use Noodler's, but I'd to expand my ink collection, though various factors have me relying almost exclusively on permanent inks.
