Learned about Atlus's first ever game (as a shadow developer for Imagineer) was a Famicom Disk System game called Ginga Denshou with hilariously extra packaging to go full multimedia experience. A giant box called a Wavejack box containing:

• A 144 page manual with a lengthy novella establishing the world, setting, and plot of the game.
• A cassette with an audio drama set in the world of the game.
• A 12 page pamphlet on the educational principals underlying Imagineer's games.
• A Ginga Denshou sticker.
• An advertisement for the Ginga Denshou soundtrack, which was all original music not in the game.
• A styrofoam block containing a regular FDS game box with the game in it.

The game had puzzles in an alien language that could only be solved by cross referencing the manual and audio drama. All of this extra packaging and material made the game cost twice as much as a regular FDS game of the time.

Just... always amazed by absurdly ambitious multimedia project energy whenever I encounter it. :ac_laughter:

Alguien ha hecho un hack de la versión de Famicom Disk System de Super Mario Bros. que añade mejoras y cambios de muchas otras versiones del juego. Como persona a la que le flipan las diferencias de las versiones de Super Mario Bros. y de sus juegos derivados (el año pasado estuve trabajando en un vídeo al respecto, pero lo dejé parado por motivos), solo puedo decir que me encanta.
