Another photo of the #AuroraBorealis #NorthernLights in the sky last night.
#LongExposure photo taken with my #Xiaomi #RedmiNote10Pro with stock camera app, and cropped and post-processed in #googlePhotos to make the colours pop a bit more. Nice to see a bit of pink in there too.

A sky filled with northern lights. A bright green curtain of lights going from bottom left to top right, with a foggy pink purple band in the top left.
The top of orange glowing trees can be seen in the bottom left.

The "Starry Sky" #LongExposure mode on my #Xiaomi #RedmiNote10Pro camera does a remarkable job at capturing the night's sky.
Should give it a try higher up on a mountain where there's less light pollution, some day.

Long-exposure photograph of a starry night sky: White and grey dots in various intensity against a light-grey-green background, with a couple of light streaks.

and two bonus photos of my #mushroomCottage #painting:

  • The painting along with my paints, brushes, and paper towel with paint stains from drying the brushes.
  • The makeshift #photography setup, using an upside-down drying rack covered with a blanket, at which the two living room spotlights are aimed. (Ignore the tablecloth that's been pulled back...)

#dailyPhoto #FiXatoPhotographs #photoSetup #paintSetup #DIY

The painting of the mushroom cottage, resting on a tiny easel, surrounded by the brushes used (drying on a paper towel), the Panduro water colour paints in their tin, and a roll of paper kitchen towels.
In the background, in the top-left corner, standing on my desk, you might see the blurry outlines of the triptych I made last Easter.A quick setup for taking the photo of the painting. I placed a clothes drying rack upside-down on the table, covered it with a off-white fleece blanket, aimed two of the living room spot lights at it and placed the painting in front of it on its tiny easel.
Also in the picture, but not in the actual frame while taking the photograph:
- my paints
- my brushes
- a pot of tea, still brewing, resting on a square mirror.
- my water vessel, which is a repurposed tub of dark syrup, with a paint brush sticking out.
- the wax tablecloth that usually covers the living room table, pulled back.
