Erilaisillä lisävirityksillä jaetulle ruudulle sovittamiset kuten wine+mpx+namespacet jne käyvät myös.

#supertuxkart : Näytönjako tuettuna. Esim. kuusi peliohjainta ja näppämistö seitsemäntenä toimii 4k-näytöllä, vaikka yksittäisen pelaajan näkymä menee aika pieneksi.

#FlatOut2 : Verkkopeliin mahtuu yli 4 pelaajaa. Winellä ja network namespaceilla samalla koneella voi ajaa montaa kopiota. Peliohjaintuki löytyy, mutta antimicrox toiminee myös.

Lol, just stumbled over a bug in the 2006' game #Flatout2. If you press escape at the right time during a special event and then proceed with the event you're skipping your adversaries' rounds.
They simply didn't even try in round 1. 😅

Tried to do the same in round 3, caused the game to be confused for 30 seconds (and the pause menu to be completely dysfunctional) before finally progressing.

Love to stumble over stuff like this in old software. Someone did an oopsie ~19 years ago.

Surprise! The arcade racing classic #FlatOut2 from 2006 by #Bugbear got updated and its multiplayer restored (via #OpenSpy) better gamepad support, Steam Workshop support and lots of other stuff. Only 2 bucks right now on #Steam. Works very well on #Linux – all of its glorious 2000s #Rock soundtrack included, featuring Megadeth and Rob Zombie among others. :awesome: 🎶

Yesterday we had a small classic LAN party with our gaming notebooks on the kitchentable! We were playing CoD 5 (this Nazi Zombie Horde Survival mode), Flatout 2 and Company Of Heroes!
Indeed it was SO classic, there even was this one guy having network problems, so he couldn’t see our game lobbys and we couldn’t join his hosted games…just like in the old days 🥺
(We could solve his problem by uninstalling Windows Subsystem for Linux (#WSL), wtf man)

@reidrac only non-free software I run are the few Windows games (I'm addicted to #FlatOut2 and #NFS) I run through PlayOnLinux. So I guess I'm okay with both but usually prefer free software over anything else. Sometimes, you have to find a compromise.
