Well THAT'S a bummer, a second #kDrama S2 with a major cast change. First, the awesome #GoodPartner loses Nam Ji Hyun, and now #FlexXcop , which ended promisingly, has lost Park Ji Hyun, who totally MADE that show.

Shoot, the whole reason I was wanting a 2nd season of "Flex X Copy" was to finally get some romance - these 2 were so good together.

13-Feb : Most memorable design for the opening credits?

There were many great animated opening credits this year. But the opening that I remember is "Flex X Cop" - the colors & the music really made it.

Note: Gyeongseong Creature's opening was also amazing - especially once you knew the story.

I guess it never occurred to me to think about the drone noise. 😉

I loved the whole thing - especially the wrapping up of his past. I am hoping for more buddy-cop stuff & romance in S2.

6.75/10 for #KDrama #FlexXCop As late as ep 11/12 of 16 it was heading for 8-8.25 but I'm punishing it for the AWFUL final quarter. 12 eps of entertaining OTT buddy-cop fun with a nicely nuanced growth in the lead characters' relationships and perceptions of each other, then makjang madness meltdown.

Paradoxically , the risible final quarter has made me MORE interested in checking to S2. If the makjang is all done, S2 MIGHT return to what S1 did best

FFing through the final 3 eps of #KDrama #FlexXCop as it abandons any pretence of the merest shred of credibility or internal coherence. It's very sad that it's opted for a traditional makjang "resolve" and utterly abandoned the entertaning OTT buddy-cop formula that worked so well for the first 12 eps. The finale is the stuff of weekenders or even worse, dailies. BUT, with the makjang family bakvaas out of the way, S2 might save it. Especially if there is NO romance between the leads

A bit sad to see #KDrama #FlexXCop turn to custard in the home straight. First there was the magical drone, invisible and inaudible, and now we have the ML officially investigating his own family even after the Chief Superintendent suspended him from the case. Disappointing sloppiness from an enjoyable show.

The #KDrama #FlexXCop is good simple fun, not to be taken too seriously. But even in that context an invisible and inaudible drone was a bridge (or Romulan warbird) too far. :ablobrollingeyes: Thnd of OTT silliness distracted from a well setup tense situation. Hopefully there's no more magic solutions in the remaining eps

Another win for Dramawiki over MDL: Watching #KDrama #FlexXCop, I wanted to know who played a makeup artist in episode 9. The actor had a couple of minutes of dialog, but neither she nor her character are even listed in the MDL page for the Drama. Happily, DramaWiki did list both character and actor - again

One from the "I do not think it means what you think it means" files, courtesy of #KDrama #FlexxCop - the subtitles have the ML saying "I'm a southpaw fighter" while he's throwing a mock punch with his RIGHT hand 🤦

Flex X Cop was such a wonderful surprise for me. It gets even better after about the 3rd episode.

I'm hoping for another season of that one.

Starting #KDrama #FlexxCop for a change of pace from #CDrama #AmidstASnowstormOfLove and the first episode is promising. Park Ji Hyeon seems to fit her role well

I'm so glad you mentioned it several weeks ago. Your recommendation was why I started it. It is a great show - much better than I had expected based on the summary.

I hope Season 2 is just as good & we get to see a little more romance.

The son of a rich, corporate family lives an aimless life playing action hero with expensive toys to entertain himself. It starts out comic-like, but by the 3rd eps, we've got a great story.

Circumstances push the ML into working for the violent crimes police unit. His colleagues think he's spoiled or they admire his social media persona. They soon learn there is much more to him.

Almost no romance, but a compelling overarching mystery anchors the show & varying crimes in each episode make for a fast-paced, interesting drama.

The colors are amazing (see the img). Costuming, action scenes, & high-tech, expensive gadgets make it very fun. Great acting by well-known seniors, the leads & side char. grabs your heart & creates memorable characters.

Season 2 has been announced & maybe we'll even get a little romance.
