Tonight was the first burn of the school year for our fire dancing club. I did a Samoan fireknife duet, juggled some torches, and worked on passing torches.
There were helicopters flying low overhead, presumably ICE getting some footage for Fox of Portland "burning to the ground".

Voy a escribir de algunas cosas que me tocan la fibra, ya que estos días ha coincidido que han ocurrido historias junto a que estoy con la mecha muy corta.
Se viene hilo.
1. Respecto al vídeo que se viralizó de una chica haciendo una performance de fuego quemándose la falda de rafia.
Si, está bien ver los errores cometidos para evitar accidentes. Pero, ¿hace falta que muchas artistas lo suban a sus perfiles y otras tantas compartan con juicios turbios / bullying?

🌅 Chapter Eleven — The Last Sunset in Broome
Four years ago, I arrived here saying, “I’m not creative. I don’t have any artist in me.”
Broome disagreed.
This land taught me to weave copper into talismans, to dance with fire, to let art spill out of me in ways I didn’t know I had.
Now I own my own jewelry business. I perform with flames and get paid to do it. I’ve painted forests that glow back at night.
This photo was taken on my very last sunset here — fire in my hands, ocean at my back.
A closing scene, and a reminder: sometimes the land shapes you more than you shape it.

Performing across villages in Spain, I had the chance to showcase the Dragon Staff — a flowarts prop that looks truly stunning on stage. The audience rewarded it with loud applause 👏
There’s something about performing throughout Spain that carries the spirit of the traditional traveling circus 🎪, spreading joy 😹 wherever we go. But the very first place that joy takes root is in the heart of every artist.
