Hey, I’ve got a #caturday question

Does anyone local to the East Bay know anyone with the ability to foster and/or adopt three five-month-old kittens and their mama? A neighbor is involved in rescuing these sweet kitties and their current foster home can only host them for two more weeks. Neighbor is willing to fund everything (food, litter, vet, etc) she just can’t foster them herself, nor can I. She’s already contacted Community Concern 4 Cats but she’s really worried about finding them another foster home, or even better, a forever home, within the next two weeks. So I thought what the hell, I’ll ask Mastodon. You never know.

This is Tiny Princess Sandy Claws ... who just had some sort of unseen Horrible Traumatic Incident, probably with the water bowls. We don't know, she's tiny and was in the kitchen and then something happened and she was soaking wet on Other Mother's shoulder, Traumatized. She has now been (gently!) rubbed and swaddled and would like to report that she is Never Moving Again

This is what the rescue's med team referred to as the "scaredest saddest boy" looks like after 48 hours in a foster home. 3 years after being adopted he was lost or abandoned and terrified when animal services picked him up a few weeks ago. I break my heart multiple times every year saying goodbye to fosters but this is what it's all about y'all. Whisper is a good boy that just wants some love and safety in his life. #CatsOfMastodon #FosterCats

Having Steve in the bedroom is working out. He’s such a small kitten he can get out of the kennel at will, so we had to give him free roam of the bedroom. This means the other cats can’t be in the room since Steve is still a little sick. The other cats are fine with that until about 1 a.m., then they start singing the song of their people. One of us has to come down and sleep on the couch with them. Biscuit will just sleep on you, but Bagheera wants to aggressively love on you allllll night long. So if you want a cat who loves love, but only on his schedule, he’s up for adoption. Ask me for an application (lol). Steve will be up for adoption when he gets a little bigger. #FosterCats
