Soli food event for Sudan
We invite you to our solidarity food event to draw attention to the often-forgotten Eritrean freedom fighters.
During the War of Independence (1961–1991) against Ethiopian occupation, thousands lost their lives. In 1978, many war-disabled fighters fled to Kassala in Sudan – a place of exile and survival until today.
In 2010, family members and comrades in exile in Germany and French founded the Verein Eritreischer Kriegsbehinderten Deutschland e. V. (Eritrean Disabled Association) to represent their rights and organize practical solidarity.

Soli Food Event for Sudan
Wir laden euch zu unserem Soli-Food-Event ein, um an die oft vergessenen eritreischen Freiheitskämpfer*innen zu erinnern.
Im Unabhängigkeitskrieg (1961–1991) gegen die äthiopische Besatzung verloren Tausende ihr Leben. 1978 flohen viele Kriegsversehrte nach Kassala im Sudan – bis heute ein Ort des Exils und Überlebens.
2010 gründeten Familienangehörige und Comrades im Exil in Deutschland und Frankreich den Verein Eritreischer Kriegsbehinderten Deutschland e. V. (Eritrean Disabled Association), um ihre Rechte zu vertreten und Solidarität praktisch zu organisieren.
Wichtig zu sagen- bei diesem Konflikt gibt es keine „gute Seite“: Beide Milizen sind für Kriegsverbrechen verantwortlich. On the anniversary of the 2019 Sudanese Revolution, the streets of Berlin are calling for renewed solidarity with Sudan, its people, and the revolution that remains unfinished.
Seven years later, Sudan continues to face systemic mass killings, sexual violence, the targeting of children, and the destruction of life across Darfur, Kordofan, and other regions.
The demand for a civilian-led future was seized by counter-revolutionary forces funded and supported by the UAE for resource extraction, port access, and geopolitical control.
On December 5th, the RSF carried out a drone strike in Kalogi, South Kordofan, killing at least 114 civilians, including 63 children.
Following the massacres in Al-Fasher, where reports describe tens of thousands killed in weeks, evidence continues to be erased in an attempt to bury the truth.

Am Jahrestag der sudanesischen Revolution von 2019 wird auf den Straßen Berlins zu erneuter Solidarität mit dem Sudan, seiner Bevölkerung und der noch immer unvollendeten Revolution aufgerufen.
Sieben Jahre später ist der Sudan weiterhin mit systematischen Massenmorden, sexueller Gewalt, Übergriffen auf Kinder und der Zerstörung von Leben in Darfur, Kordofan und anderen Regionen konfrontiert.
Die Forderung nach einer zivilen Zukunft wurde von konterrevolutionären Kräften aufgegriffen, die von den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten finanziert und unterstützt werden, um sich Zugang zu Ressourcen, Häfen und geopolitischer Kontrolle zu verschaffen.
