The ard (a simple, light plow drawn by oxen) was introduced to, what is now, Danmark as early as 3800 BCE by the people who formed the Funnelbeaker culture. A large part of the Funnelbeaker people's ancestry originated from early Neolithic farmers in Anatolia.
