For the 2024 cards, I've been playing around with the design quite a bit.

I'm not satisfied yet, as there's zero reason for yellow to continue to be on the card.

My kids have switched from #GSSC to Ottawa Internationals, so the old colour scheme doesn't apply anymore.

Officially, I have my little ones enrolled in indoor #soccer for the fall.

I chose to register with a different group, #SudburniaSC, because it's $250 per kid, Sunday mornings, and runs mid-October through March.

#GSSC charges $250 & $350, for 1/2 weekday evenings (respectively), mid-October through December 18th. The exact days/times are not yet known.

Financially, it just makes sense to make the switch at this point.

The folks over at CTV News have some footage from yesterday's press conference for the Sudbury Cyclones.

Footage includes shots of James Jerome's grass field, as opposed to the fenced-in Turf field. There is significantly less seating at the grass field, and it is further from the field. At #GSSC's U16 (M) #TOSL match last weekend, many spectators brought their came chairs to sit closer to the field.

Clearly, the club is still piecing it together.

I don't mind at all since it means I get to watch #GSSC's U16 (m) team compete in a T O. Soccer League match on the grass field at James Jerome.

More details continue to emerge thanks to CTV.

While, we already knew Connor Van Weghe (former #GSSC president, also worked in Vancouver Whitecaps' front office & played goalkeeper for the Laurentian Voyageurs and Thunder Bay Chill) was appointed the Cyclone's Sporting Director, it's now been announced that Dayna Corelli will serve as the team's first General Manager.

Additionally, it appears that neither Sault Ste Marie nor Timmins have any traveling competitive teams. This will make things a bit easier as I won't need to add fixtures for their sides.

As a result, expect the Sault & Timmins pages to resemble the youth-team pages of TB Chill (basically just some rosters), while the NDSC Lakers will look more like #GSSC & the TB Chill USL2 page (rosters & schedules).

While it'll likely be too late for the 2023 season, this lays the groundwork for 2024.

Oddly enough, it doesn't look like Nipissing has any male competitive teams below the U16 level, with their next level male team being at the pre-competitive U12/U13/U14 grassroots.

Hopefully, they'll be able to add one into HDSL next year to go up against #GSSC.

Made some big updates on Crater's Edge.

I got all the players transferred to the new SportsPress Plugin, plus all the schedules/scores for #GSSC, including Ontario Soccer League, Ontario Women's Soccer League, T.O. Soccer League Men's U18, U17, U16, U15, Huronia District Soccer League Men's U15, T.O. Soccer League Women's U16, U14, and HDSL Women's U15.

The Thunder Bay Chill USL2 schedule/scores are also now on site & up to date.

The rest of TB Chill & Nipissing might just get updated tmw.

Hit the beach the last two days. I got exceptionally burnt and can now cheer on #CXNT, #AtleticoOttawa , and #GSSC without wearing a jersey...

Shoppers is about to sell out of Aloe.

It was my kids' first session with #GSSC today. They were both really excited to get out there and learn some #soccer skills.

Lots of running around and basic agility stuff today, so I was helping the kids keep the drills straight. Both of my littles are now looking forward to doing the drills with the cones, hurdles, and agility ladder on the weekend.

It's definitely a much better reaction to playing on the field this year than last.
