Gallery Assistant is now available for Galaxy devices!

Earlier, Samsung has closed the beta program for the Gallery Assistant app, which allows you to bulk-edit photos and videos with various tools. Now, after almost six months of the beta program running, the Gallery Assistant app is now available to download through the Galaxy Store!

Gallery Assistant allows you to edit your images and videos using the powerful tools and utilities, including reducing size, clipping images, and adding watermarks. This saves time and effort when you’re dealing with a large group of images that you may need to edit.

We have already showcased the Gallery Assistant app here.

You’ll need to have a compatible device running One UI 7.0 or later in order to be able to use Gallery Assistant, and we recommend that you update your device to One UI 8.0 for maximum compatibility.

To download Gallery Assistant today, press the below button to download the official version from the Galaxy Store.

Gallery Assistant Beta has ended, official version soon

Gallery Assistant, an app that allows you to bulk edit photos and videos with editing tools, has just exited the beta stage, starting from today in Korea, and the rollout of the app will start shortly. According to a member in the Korean forums, the beta program announcement states that the beta program is over as it has reached stability.

Users who have the beta version of Gallery Assistant released last year will have to check the Galaxy Store for the official updated version. You’ll be able to update Gallery Assistant to the official version to benefit from bug fixes and possible added features.

To update Gallery Assistant after the update rolls out, follow these steps:

  1. Open Galaxy Store
  2. Open Updates, and look for “Gallery Assistant”
  3. Tap the Update button

If everything went well, you should have the updated Gallery Assistant app.

Gallery Assistant 2.0.00.26 adds watermark frame support

We have showcased Gallery Assistant where we showed how to use it and a feature showcase for each one spotted. However, a new version of Gallery Assistant, 2.0.00.26, provided two hidden features, and the first one is what we’re going to highlight that existed in devices running in One UI 8: the watermark frame.

Now, Gallery Assistant provides a hidden feature that allows you to insert the watermark as a frame to your existing photos that you’ve taken with your existing device running One UI 6.0 or higher. Currently, it’s hidden under the Gallery Assistant Labs, which means that you’ll have to go to the About screen where it shows the version. Tap on the version several times until the toast notification shows up.

Afterwards, go back to the main screen, and select the hamburger menu > Lab.

You’ll see the two options below:

Here, you have two options that you can enable:

  • SUPPORT_ONBOARDING: Shows you the first-time onboarding screen that we’ll show at the end of the article when you start Gallery Assistant the next time.
  • WATERMARK_FRAME: Shows you the watermark frame options in the Add Watermark screen.

Afterwards, go to Add Watermark.

If you enabled WATERMARK_FRAME, you’ll see a new option when you try to edit the watermark settings.

When you enable “Show in frame,” you’ll be presented with options that allow you to change the watermark frame:

After that, you can save the resultant image, and you should be able to see the watermark frame in the modified image, just like below:

Now, the second option that we’ll demonstrate is the SUPPORT_ONBOARDING option where we’ll restart Gallery Assistant after enabling it. The below onboarding screen shows up only once:

After that, if you press Continue, you’ll be back to the main screen. This is the screen where the application asks for permissions for both the notifications and the media files.

You can download Gallery Assistant from APKMirror, but be sure that this version will show up later as an APK.
