Ende Gelände: heute zum nördlichsten Punkt Deutschlands am Lister Ellenbogen auf Sylt geradelt und dort den Geocache gefunden. Der Ort ist eher unscheinbar, aber die Radtour durch die mit blühender Heide bewachsenen Dünen hat sich gelohnt. 😊

Geocaching ist noch nicht tot, zumindest bei Urlaubenden: Ich bin heute in Flensburg gleich bei zwei Caches auf andere Geocacher*innen gestoßen. 🙂

C'était bien sympa cette première découverte de #Geocaching.

Sur place, partage des vivres, discussions vélo et autres, et initiation #geocaching évidemment 😇😎

On repart avec la poubelle, c'est @rodolphe qui se charge d'un #carryshitolympics digne de ce nom 😅

Le groupe se scinde en deux : retour en train pour les uns, à vélo pour les autres.
(Je vous laisse deviner pourquoi je suis attablée à la terrasse d'un macdo à moins de 3km de chez moi, au bout de ma vie, en train de faire ce compte-rendu 😂).

Today was an intersting day in regards to geocaching. Today I pulled off not one but two FTFs… I was surprised to be honest. I’ve not had a FTF on a cache on what must be almost 8 years.I also worked out where a third FTF was to be found but it felt greedy so I didn’t do it.

Chasing FTFs has never been my primary dirver, more so since I ran into a cacher who would loved to tell people how many FTFs they had and how the rest of us were just losers… #geocaching

After 12.5k steps today 👣, and it reaching about 26C in the afternoon (I don’t do well when the temps get over about 23C 🥵) I am glad to be home with my feet up on the sofa contemplating writing my #Geocaching logs. (Yes, I know the apps let you log in the field but I prefer to use GSAK on desktop, mostly so it auto-updates my find count and I can set a custom template really easily).

There were plenty of other nice caches in the area for me to find afterwards as well. Including a lovely Ammo Can - you don’t see many of those these days, sadly they used to get stolen or vandalised. #Geocaching

Two for the price of one! Not usual to find two containers at the same place but it is usually a sign someone couldn’t find the official pot so threw down a new one. 🙄

Is it a snail? Nope, just a custom cache in a rather lovely snail shell

A lovely large Ammo can, padlocked to a tree. You don’t see many of these any more, they often get stolen or trashed. Hence the padlock to the tree so it can’t be moved and the 4-barrel combo lock to prevent it from being opened by vandals
