They keep going backwards, too.
For the longest time it was home to an international religious broadcaster, #HCJB, til it got too hot for even them--making it clear they saved no souls there.

It sounds as though many #hamradio ops were kids with sleeping problems. "I'd stay up late at night listening to distant shortwave stations" is a common thread. I did this too, #HCJB Ecuador was my favourite.
