From the ARROW club mailing list comes news of a new VOIP system for hams to fill some of the gap that Hamshack Hotline left with its shutdown.
Dave #W2DAN has set up NexNet https://mynexnet.net as a VOIP exchange. Follow the instructions on the web site to get an extension added for your VOIP phone or soft phone.

Hamshack Hotline is shutting down, effective 2025-08-29 .
"After much thoughtful discussion and reflection, the Board of Directors has unanimously voted to sunset the project, giving our community ample time to transition to other services by the end date."

Testing some Hamshack Hotline numbers, using a fresh install of Zoiper on my MacBook Air as the calling party.

Has anyone successfully set up a Cisco SPA525G on #AmateurWire? They have settings for a different phone on their web site and I've used that data in the appropriate places on my '525, but it won't register on their network.

I just now surprised @arth by ringing his newly fixed phone from the other side of the planet. PABX QRZ, it’s the new thing, right? :) #HamshackHotline
I put in a ticket with #HamshackHotline a few minutes ago. I then went upstairs to refill my coffee, and when I came back down my phone was online and the ticket closed. Total time probably about 5 minutes. Nice!

I was trying Hamshack out of curiosity, @technodad, but found it delightful in the end. I’ve bewildered my poor family with giddy cheering and incoherent explanations. I got voicemail from a friend! I sent voicemail back!
Back in the day, I had to work for the government or a large company to have one of these on my desk. Now I can beg a friend for a spare, hook it up to a mobile access point and a battery, and set it up on a table in a park. #HamshackHotline #HamsOverIP #HamRadio

A few days ago I set up my Cisco SPA-500DS attendant console sidecar and started populating the speed dials.
I'm available on both Hamshack Hotline and Hams over IP, plus a VoIP.ms DID number. However the sidecar is strictly HH only.

I got a response from the Hams Over IP people a couple of hours ago telling me my new extension number and some server details to get my phone set up. I just applied for it yesterday, so this really surprised me given today is Easter Sunday. I was prepared to wait a few days. Now to figure out how to configure my phone, which already has a Hamshack Hotline extension, to also operate with a Hamshack Over IP extension. I guess my first stop will be their wiki.

QSO just now with Lucille #KD8PTE on the #K8LOD repeater in Marquette, MI using #HamShackHotline .
K8LOD is on Echolink and on Allstar, and apparently the Ham Shack Hotline connection is via that Allstar interconnect.
Audio quality very good (as I guess I would expect since it's analog all the way?)

It was analog RF on Lucille's end, and also we didn't completely understand how the bits were being routed, so I guess yes?
