A picture made of #heptagons from about 4 years back. Some of the heptagon shading is similar to what was used in mathstodon.xyz/@HypercubicPeg/

A 7-fold rotationally-symmetric picture in shades of brown constructed of heptagons. There are many rings of heptagons separated by wavy groups of heptagons. The white-to-brown shading of the heptagons in the rings gives me the impression of broken eggshells. The background fades from dark brown to a taupe shade at the edges.

"Creatures of the Seven Seas": The creatures depicted here are constructed from heptagons, rings of heptagons, and heptagon squiggles. In some cases, they appear to be using patterns of shading to conceal their true structure :)

I made this in 2018 and it was shown at the JMM in 2019.

Among other things, I make geometric patterns with the aid of a tablet, and sometimes find ways to make physical representations of them. This is a wire (chain maille?) representation of a 14-fold pattern involving rhombs and #heptagons.
