Good Sunday morning to you! #Eagle watch began an hour earlier today *yawn* but it is still dark at about 5AM nest-time.

The female, Jackie, is on the nest, with her head tucked under her wing. Color should be visible from the cam in a couple of hours, and then the view is fantastic!

It's probably too late for one of the 3 eggs, and might be getting close for the second as well. Fingers crossed, however, that we get to see one hatch.

Jackie is lying in the 3:00 position, with her head cranked around towards 9:00 and tucked under her wing. At this time of morning, she frequently awakens every few minutes, (unless Fiona, the flying squirrel shows up, when she spreads those huge wings and gives a wing slap!)

It's dark, and she is probably also bemoaning the loss of an hour today...

In a couple of hours color will flood this view, and perhaps we will get a view of the 3 eggs in the nest. There has been no sign yet of a pip (the first opening made by a young chick, trying to get out.) It can take several days for the chick to force its way out of the egg once it begins.
