Hmmm...not sure about the future of the worlds largest proposed pumped hydro battery on a desert continent that is suffering forecasts for multi-decade droughts...
Perhaps its wiser to develop hydrobatteries at abandoned open pit minesites, not on agricultural land. Then you might be able to use saltwater.
Renewable energy and Green/Ecofriendly energy aren't the same thing.
