Ein Graureiher (Ardea cinerea) steht auf einem verwitterten Baumstumpf. Der Vogel ist seitlich nach rechts ausgerichtet, mit eingezogenem Hals und leicht gesträubtem Gefieder. Graues, weißes und schwarzes Gefieder sind klar erkennbar, ebenso der lange, spitze Schnabel und die schlanken Beine. Der Hintergrund ist dunkel und unscharf, ohne erkennbare Details.

Ein ausgewachsener Seeadler (Weißschwanzseeadler, Haliaeetus albicilla) steht im flachen Wasser. Der große Greifvogel ist frontal aufgenommen, der Kopf gesenkt, der gelbe Schnabel geöffnet. Das braune Gefieder wirkt nass und aufgestellt, die weißen Schwanzfedern sind teilweise sichtbar. Um ihn herum leichte Wellen auf grauem Wasser, kein weiterer Hintergrund erkennbar.
