Jednou z nejrozsáhlejších novinek, kterou v rámci #NAB 2024 BMD uvedl je Blackmagic Ethernet Switch, který vyšel v kombinaci s nekolika konvertory z/do síťového videostandardu SMPTE 2110, čímž BMD výrazně posiluje svou podporu tohoto standardu a podporu IP protokolů obecně.

Blackmagic Ethernet Switch je speciálně navržený pro routing videa v rámci protokolu SMPTE 2110 a podporu dalších zařízení BMD fungujících v rámci IP sítě jako je např. Blackmagic Cloud Store, střižny ATEM nebo rekordéry Hyperdeck.

Routing SMPTE 2110 probíhá na bázi tradičně rozloženého předního panelu připomínající matice Videohub. Zařízení má zároveň HDMI a SDI port na kterých outputuje statusovou obrazovku jednotlivých síťových přípojek.

Switch disponuje 16x 10G Ethernet porty (určenými zejména jako in/out standardu SMPTE 2110) a 2x 100G Ethernet porty pro další vybavení.

Cenově vychází Blackmagic Ethernet Switch na $2,895 , což je při aktuálním kurzu necelých 68 700 Kč nebo 2 716 €

Textace: Elegantly Designed Front Panel The built in front control panel is where you route video, which will take care of all the 2110 IP multicast settings for you, so you don't need external computers and IT configuration. The front panel is similar to a Blackmagic Videohub router so it features the same spin knob for browsing, direct entry buttons for speed and an LCD for displaying labels. The LCD also has menus so you can change the Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 360P settings. Shortcut Buttons The shortcut buttons allow direct entry of sources and destinations. They can also be used with the numeric keys. Plus if a button uses a dedicated input label, then they will act like a cut bus! In Button The in button switches the panel over so the spin knob and shortcut buttons will be selecting from the list of input video sources. By rolling the spin knob, you can see all your inputs.
