The defence team attributed the accident to sudden brake failure rather than speeding. They maintained that the crash was accidental and not a result of negligence.
The court granted Adeniyi bail in the sum of ₦5 million with two sureties pending trial. The magistrate adjourned the case until January 20, 2026, for further hearing.
