Einige meiner Follower hier kennen ja auch meine aktiven #SELFHTML-Forums-Zeiten und wissen vielleicht, dass es da um die Jahrtausendwende mal einen Abschnitt namens #Kess in meinem Leben gab. Diese ganze Zeit ist für mich musikalisch irgendwie untrennbar verbunden mit dem Album #MoonSafari des französischen TripHop-Duos #Air. Und das habe ich gerade wiederentdeckt, und zwar als als Konzert-Video, ganz taufrisch (Ende Mai) live aufgenommen mit 2020er-Equipment in der Royal Albert Hall London für ARTE Concert. Nur ist leider Beth Hirsch nicht mit dabei.

#AllStarTrek #StarTrek in the 90s had a tendency to have stories that would use life-like humanoid holograms. I guess since we didn't have Large Language Models as yet, the question of the hologram's independence/intelligence usually rested on how the crew experienced them.

Hence #Kess treating the Doctor as an actual person with agency.

But if holograms were intelligent beings, then the Federation would have accidentally been creating a slave labor force. 😖

@joewynne Was there ever any follow thru to that? I feel like #Tuvok's series friends turned out to be #Kess and #Neelix.

The character #Kess has grown on me considerably over the years. She and #Neelix were a childlike pair, with Neelix being the mischievous one. It was an interesting perspective to have in the crew.

#AllStarTrek I can't believe this show inadvertently swapped #Kess for #Seven. I know Jennifer Lien had issues, but it was such a odd turn of fate to drop the innocent, empathic character for cold, aloof, and sexy.

...or maybe it was apt? Audience seemed to REALLY like cold, aloof, and sexy.🤷‍♂️
