Kevin Mitnick passed away last Sunday from pancreatic cancer, just found out last night.

Condor, as I first knew him from my .nl hacker friends, would occasionally piss me off greatly, using coming in behind my stealth intrusion into a system in some noisy "smash and grab" operation, tipping off admins and we'd all get kicked off. Later I'd write to him in prison, because after all we were both hackers, and once he'd served his time, every time he was in town on business we'd get together for a meal.

As he became more and more popular his free time diminished and the meals stopped, and we drifted apart. Pity. I didn't like all of his company's business tactics, but to be fair there are very few companies that are not in that category.

RIP Condor/Bishop/Kevin.
