The #SatyrFarm? Sailboats with #SFsail? Developed by Satyr Aeon in OSSL.

It's just that none of this can be found on any of those new hot freebie sims. Pretty much all they offer is from #SecondLife where #AVsitter still seems to be popular. So if you managed to get everything out of SL except for the AVsitter scripts, just take the same scripts from another piece of furniture with AVsitter, and you're good to go.

There are many other examples. Kayaker Magic's #khAOs AO script, for example. Drop-in replacement for CPU-hungry #ZHAO from SL. It uses technology that isn't even available in SL. But nobody uses it because at least those who still wear AOs as attachments have never heard of khAOs, and all the big and popular freebie sims only offer the "original" ZHAO versions of all those wide-spread AOs as they came in through Arkham. Mind you, there are khAOs conversions of most or even all of these AOs readily available. But not on the cool new freebie sims.

Aaack Aardvark of Arcadia Shop fame and Bibiana Bombinante of Encantada fame are both switching from PMAC to SFposer which was made by Satyr Aeon, too. But I'm actually surprised whenever I see that someone actually uses their furniture. For most others, it seems to be much more convenient to get everything from Richard Lionheart or, since his sim is no longer listed on #OpenSimWorld, from the Darkhearts Mall.

I know it's tempting to disallow avatar scripts on your sims. I know that it can greatly improve the performance by killing off the heavy-weight scripts that some people wear on their avatars for whatever reasons of flashiness.

But keep in mind that the following things don't work anymore with avatar scripts off:

• Attached AOs. This may be one reason to disallow scripts because typical #SecondLife #ZHAO AOs use up tremendous amounts of server resources, and hardly any #OpenSimulator user has ever heard of #khAOs. But many #OpenSim users depend on attached AOs. They either don't know how to put an AO into their viewer, or they can't be bothered because attaching one is sooo much more convenient, and it gives you a HUD.
  
• Adjusting the foot position on most female mesh bodies from #SecondLife. Unless you've got your feet on "high" permanently, you can neither take your high heels off nor put them on.
  
• Switching the alpha mode on #Ruth2 v4 and #Roth2 v2. If it's forced to "off" when you teleport in, and your alpha masks stop working, you can't use your HUD to turn it back on, and you have to edit the body manually.¹
  
• The alpha HUD on pretty much all other mesh bodies. You can only change clothes if you don't need alpha-ing.
  
• Bento HUDs. You can't even correct your hands if your fingers are stretched into all directions.
  
• Sex, at least not if it involves at least one male avatar. Guys can't switch their boners on. Turning avatar scripts off on a sex-oriented sim is amongst the top five stupidest things you can possibly do as a sim owner.

¹By the way, yes, #BakesOnMesh supports alpha masks. If your mesh bodies don't, doesn't mean BoM as a whole doesn't.

And the Easter egg hunt started. My first hunting-ground was AMV Welcome with five eggs. That got me used to how the eggs are hidden.



AMV Annex had another five eggs, but it's so open that it's hard to hide anything there.

At AMV Town Hall, I found the first three eggs before I even found the sign. The golden egg had a funny placement: Cataplexia Numbers, one of the grid owners, was offline all day and had left her desk to said golden egg.



Meow was hard, for Meow is one of the major freebie sims in AMV. To the north of the sign stands a freebie store with clothes, furniture, wedding decoration etc. To the south of the sign, there's a lot of landscape decoration that's every bit as colourful as the eggs we're supposed to find. In fact, I had expected to find my first teal egg earlier.



It was also here that I discovered that there were two easter egg hunts going on on the same grid at the same time.



By Numbers is fairly easy again if you've learned to think outside the box. It was there where I took the pictures shown in the opening post.

The AMV Freebies Mall is a challenge for the patient. It's a two-floor, square freebie mall with dozens of shops and entirely within the 75-metre radius around the sign, so the eggs could be anywhere in any shop. On top of that, Cat must have decided some day to remove the stairs to the upper level, so you have to fly or teleport, and not all teleporters are working.

Also, no matter which body you have, even if it's a #Ruth2 or the plain old system body, you may end up spending time actually shopping here, although all boxes with classic avatar content are unfortunately broken. Good advice, by the way: After shopping here, go to the AMV Sandbox to unpack the boxes. Single items should be rezzed and copied again to be safe. If you prefer to wear AOs as attachments rather than running them in your viewer, there are two boxes with AOs converted to #KHAOS.

The Occasions Mall was bordering on a speed run, even though it had lots of shops nearby, including an Easter-themed one. I found all eggs except the golden one within a minute and all of them within some two minutes.

The Old World Mall was another mall egg hunt, but a bit more difficult again. After that, I checked some third-party sims.
