One of my favourite things from #knowledgefight is Jordan's distinction between “arguments” and “fighting words”. Arguments can be offensive, can contain bigotry, but can also be responded to. “Fighting words” require confrontation; there is no dialogue that can occur, no way to engage with the argument. Perhaps violence is not necessary, but “them's fighting words”.
Mainstream media fails to navigate these. Yelling about Toitū te Tiriti at a music festival, them's fighting words. Calling moko scribbles, them's fighting words.
Interesting episode detailing Alex’s downplaying of Palantír. I love Dan’s observation that #AlexJones devolving into a defender of big government surveillance represents a “generational failure of counterculture.”
Obviously I ✨cannot wait✨ for #KnowledgeFight to cover Alex’s reaction to the Trump/Musk catfight of June 5th, but this is kind of an amazing lead-in to that.

Towards the end of this episode you and your guests briefly remarked on long form podcasting like Joe Rogan.
This was pioneered by Alex Jones and the only people I've found that can effectively cover him are the #KnowledgeFight podcast.
Alex is expert at using media criticism of him to play victim and convert new viewers. His show is also used by the right wing media cycle to elevate and normalize white supremacist and Christian Nationalist talking points. He's a gateway drug to the harder core media of hate.
What #KnowledgeFight does is play Alex and note the lies, inconsistencies, and techniques he uses to make it seem like he's exposing the truth when he's really twisting the truth to bring the audience to the conclusion he wants.
Alex is also rich because he plays on the audience's emotions to trigger their anger or need to act and then he pivots to an advertisement. Want to defeat your enemies? Buy my products.
One thing no one expected is that back before the Sandy Hook trials, #KnowledgeFight did the same analysis of the InfoWars taped depositions and got the attention of the plaintiffs' lawyers. They've had a few episodes interviewing the lawyers.
The lead researcher on the podcast was able to serve as a subject matter on Alex to provide the lawyers his insight into Alex from years of studying him for the lawsuit.
