This morning I summated the amendment from Enfield Liberal Democrats on the public transport motion at the Liberal Democrats' Conference, continuing my now long tradition of speaking for amendments which then go on to be rejected by voting members 😅

@lowqualityfacts The way the Liberator Songbook does this is to move the songs around to different pages each year (OK, so there are a couple of new ones each year as well).

So when the compère at #LDConf #glee calls out the page number of the next song, those who haven't bought this year's edition are left scrabbling around trying to find which page it's on in their old copy, which might take them until say halfway through the first verse.

Kylie, Scissor Sisters, Dua Lipa, and #LDConf – it looks like the first half of 2025 will be packed with lots of fun, singing, and dancing! 🕺🏻

As #LDConf comes to an end I've had a great time: attended training to help grow our team back in Manchester, as well as delivered some on writing Focus that people found useful! I summated on an amendment our local party proposed and got them passed and caught up with lots of colleagues from across the country, and celebrated our best ever general election result (and I hear Manchester Central's innovative recruitment techniques in the GE got a call out in the election review session). Important discussions were had on taking on Labour now they're in government, and it was heartening to see such support for trans rights despite the presence of a group who legally bullied their way in and oppose our core party principle of freedom from conformity. Thank you all :)
