My current favourite anime is Yuri On Ice. This show has hit on so many levels that it has stuck with me since and there are no words to express how much I love it!
I also enjoyed Last Exile, My Roommate is a Cat, The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Banana Fish (except for the ending) and my watchlist is still long!
As to movies, I love Hayao Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke.

After my surreal nostalgia weekend, this news is hitting kinda hard. Even though #GalaxyExpress999 wasn't my jam, I see the threads: #StevenUniverse's Blue Diamond and Lars; #BeeAndPuppycat's Outlaw is as much Harlock as Utena; #DaftPunk's Discovery and Interstalla obvs, #LastExile had a COMPLELY different steampubk vibe than Matsumoto's space opera, but Silvana and crew have his fingerprints.

@Rask004 Almost everything by Hiroaki Samura, Urasawa, Makoto Yukimura, Range Murata, Kenji Tsuruta, Otomo, Oda, Inoue, and Junji Itto, he creeps me out tho'.
I also love European comics. #Asterix #Valerian #Metabarons the works of Massimiliano Frezzato, Enrico Marini, Juan Giménez, Carlos Jiménez, and so much more.
With #anime is almost all #Ghibli + #Gundam 00, #Mushishi #LastExile #GurrenLagann #PetShopofHorrors #ModestHeroes and basically wholesome content that warms my heart.
#LastExile is such a cool anime, it might not be perfect (in fact, on gogoanime and maybe other places the subtitles disappear completely at some points and at the 'in the next episode segments), but it still remains a classic bitter war story with brave couriers and a pretty engaging story.
Didn't own Il Teatrino or Fam before, mostly because both were sequels less well-loved than the originals. Definitely looking forward to the manga too.
