Just finished reading Ædnan by Sámi-Swedish writer Linnea Axelsson (translated by Saskia Vogel), an epic novel in verse that follows two Sámi families over a century, depicting the changes and trauma these Indigenous people have had to deal with. I very highly recommend it. The blurb says this book will day be seen as an essential Scandinavian epic alongside Halldór Laxness' Independent People, and I would not be surprised if that came true.
