A little bit of snow provides park visitors with a lot of fun in this view from the Hidden Lake Trailhead in Glacier National Park. A trail in the foreground, a mountain in the back, with trees and people in the middle. Today, the sky is blue and the snow is melting. Of interest are a group of didactic panels which can be seen leaning on the grassy slope next to the trail (center foreground).

As the snow melts in the higher elevations of Glacier National Park the incredible scenery surrounding Logan Pass comes into view. This image shows that some of the trees have shed their snow load (at least temporarily) while trails heading to the meadows and mountains appear to be buried still. The eye is drawn to the blue sky above and the sparkling snow below in this view from today. Thanks to the Glacier National Park Conservancy and the National Park Service for providing these beautiful images.

Starting our hike on Highline Trail, we saw this momma grizzly and two of her babies. This was adorable and also extremely scary all at the same time. This was an omen of things to come.
