#MJML

2025-11-02

I'm looking for inspiration for designing transactional emails, such as confirmation emails for double-opt-in processes. Any suggestions for making them clean, minimalistic, and stylish?

gomjml’s long-awaited v0.10.0 release is out: github.com/preslavrachev/gomjm 🎉

Out with MRML ❌, in with full compliance with the original MJML spec ✅

If you have a Go project that sends a lot of emails, and you don't want to spend a lifetime perfecting them, I welcome you to give it a try.

After the first few “big-bang” releases of `gomjml`, I've been keeping the work on the quiet side, but the truth is, it's till going on, and a major one is just one around the corner.

Along the way, I realized my critical mistake, which should have been obvious in hindsight. I should have started the project, by going directly against the MJML compiler, and not to its Rust version. MRML is great, but buggy, and that screwed things up.

I am happy to announce that gomjml now has feature parity with the reference MJML compiler, and can be (carefully) used in other projects. From now on, the roadmap to 1.0 will focus solely on testing, validation, and performance improvements. preslav.me/2025/08/12/i... #golang #programming #mjml

I mean, there is an official MJML JS compiler? Why did you need another version of it? Just call it from your Go app. Like, how slow can it be?

Very, very, very .... slow

Which is one of the reasons I created gomjml: github.com/preslavrachev/gomjml

This morning, I open-sourced a project that Claude Code and I have been secretly working on for the past few weeks. Presenting gomjml, a native Go compiler for the MJML email templating language 📧🚀

Some GitHub ⭐️ are more than welcome!

Exploring something new … MJML support with Grapes.JS #mjml #emailmarketing #opensource #buildinpublic

Okay, 'cos my self-hatred is running at 11/10, I talked my client into letting me produce a weekly newsletter (🧢 hat on, not ). Last time I did this it was a success, but I hand-coded everything. Now I'm re-visiting for the first time in years. Feels like MySpace.

Previously, things went fine until I introduced MailChimp and everything caught fire. But now I have complete control (thanks @bencroker & co. / ) but I guess what I'm saying is… pray for me 🙏

Has anyone worked with MJML before? Having issues with one particular email client not rendering messages properly. Thinking of giving MJML a try with Spatie's Laravel integration.

This is great: Jonian Guveli just released v1.4.2 of the mrml gem - which now has precompiled builds for 8 different platforms 🙌. So, no needed anymore to use mrml & mrml-rails on Ruby >=3.

Plus: it will save a bunch of energy + time needed for personal builds.

Never mind. Wrote a shell script that does #mjml watch on a directory and runs live-server for hot reloading.

Not gonna succumb to using anything that is not #vim

Opened #vscode (for #mjml preview plug-in). All kinds of pop up’s started to jump: install docker, trust this git repo, etc.

Felt a slight panic attack. That’s the reason I use #neovim, it doesn’t assume I’m stupid and offers me to do things through popups

@simeon I’m trying #mjml but it’s a new markup+build step+editor

@yakkoj thats a great topic!

I am learning about HTML emails for quite some time and it have a great potential.

But it feells like whole different world in comparison to website creation. For me it is the bottleneck of HTML emails. Too much efford for an email, even with such tools as an and some automation. WDYT? :gnome:
