To memorialize the passing of Joe Don Baker, I’m watching the MST3k version of “Final Justice” (1985). (I assume it was made to suck cash from some ill-conceived Maltese film subsidy. Unless it was plain ol’ money laundering through Maltese banks.)

The actor who played Officer Maria Cassar, Helena Dalli, left showbiz when the film flopped and became a prominent Maltese and E.U. politician. She introduced legislation supporting gender equity and trans rights.
