Gestern war ein guter erster Tag zurück im Büro (nach #mrmcd23 und #muc23 ).
Ein paar gemütliche Gespräche um sich gegenseitig auf den neuesten Stand zu bringen, Überlegungen für die genaue Einrichtung vom neuen Büro, ein informeller Einweihungskaffee mit den anderen Forschungsgruppen im Gebäude, gefolgt von tatsächlicher Büromöbel-Herumschieberei.

Es ging um die Menstruationsprodukte, die wir auf der #muc23 verteilt haben, und ob/wie gut das Angebot angenommen wurde.

Ich kann verkünden: sehr gut!
Auf einer Toilette musste direkt am Ende des gleichen Tages nachgefüllt werden.

Three Truths about Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding has life-long benefits for babies (e.g., see Heinig et al.,
1997; Horta et al., 2015; Victora et al., 2016).

While often promoted as natural and intuitive, the lived experience of breastfeeding can be very challenging (e.g., Hauck et al., 2002).

Involvement of partners in the feeding process can help address some of the core issues, improve breastfeeding experience, and extend breastfeeding duration (e.g., deMontigny et al., 2018).

Abstract

This paper introduces patient journey value mapping - an approach to capture experiences, emotions and values implicated in patients' care delivery. As patients' values (i.e., what's important to them in their lives) may change along their patient journeys, our approach aims to support designers to respond to patients' changing needs in the (re)design of Health, by mapping patients' values and their prioritisations over time. To substantiate the creation of the map, we propose two preceding data collection phases comprising complementary empirical methods. First, important care-related events and associated values are collected retrospectively through interviews, and in-situ through diary studies. Subsequently, the data are analysed to develop materials to elicit values and value tensions through deepening discussions in an interactive workshop based on which the maps are finalised. The approach is illustrated through discussions and reflections on its application in a case study investigating patient values in Health for rehabilitation care.

When this is the view, I don’t mind walking 45 minutes to work.
