Losing Bifi made me reminisce a lot about the pets in my life. First and foremost, Bifi is still on my mind a lot, and it still feels unreal that she’s not here anymore. A week ago, we said goodbye to our 13 1/2 year old dog, Bifi[note]pronounced the same as beefy[/note]. She was a street mutt, named after the African country Biafra by the shelter that saved her from starvation, which in short became Bifi. Happy guesstimated birthday to you two mutts. Paddy the Irish mutt is now two years old and Penny the Spanish Podenco is now four. We don't know when their real birthday is because Paddy was found in a supermarket car park in Ireland and Penny was found running wild in a forest in Spain.
