We've arrived in Kona for the IRONMAN World Championship! 🏝️ Sandra’s bike got here a day later, but all is well now and the first training sessions have gone smoothly. She’s loving the swim in the bay and feeling strong on the bike. 🏊♀️🚴♀️ But wow — the heat really hits during the run! 🥵🔥

Gestern USee-Schwimmen (1.Staffel) und heute Triathlon (2.Frau). Ein hartes Wochenende!
Sandra hat heute aus dem vollen Training die Mitteldistanz in Ratingen gemacht und ist 2. geworden. Die Beine waren aber wirklich schwer und beim Laufen hat einiges gefehlt. Aber so soll es 3 Wochen vor der Ironman Weltmeisterschaft auf Hawaii ja sein. 😅

In Zukunft möchte ich etwas mehr über unserem Alltag im Sport berichten.
Wir sind zwei leidenschaftliche Triathleten und Sandra hat sich beim Ironman Kalmar (wo wir beide am Start waren) für die Weltmeisterschaft auf Hawaii qualifiziert.
Da wir jetzt eigentlich Pause machen würden, ist es jetzt eine Herausforderung Sandra noch einmal in 4 Wochen in Form zu bringen. Besonders für den Kopf wird das schwer.
Momentan haben bei uns klar Sandras letzten Trainingswochen vor der Ironman WM auf Hawaii Priorität.
Da ich gleichzeitig unsere Trainingspläne schreibe, habe ich uns heute ausnahmsweise noch einmal das Rennrad aufgeschrieben. 😀
