In the 1970s, Pavel Sukhoi asked Arkhip M. Lyulka to design the turbofan engine for what would become the Su-27.
Though Lyulka never lived to see the AL-31F enter production, he'd surely be proud of this 1:48 scale model.

On this day in 2022 the Nord Stream pipeline was blown up.
Years earlier, the Solitaire laid hundreds of km of it — now scratch-built in 1:400 by Gabriéle Glücks, award-winning at NAVIGA-C in Budapest.
