Next up, do we get to undo the damage we've done and are doing? If not, then are we really addressing fascism?
Let's say all our dreams come true and we manage to corral fascism in the US. What next? Turns out we've been dealing out fascism and exploitation for centuries in the global south. Slavery, IMF, trade deals (NAFTA, CAFTA, etc.), right-wing coups, invasions. This is a bipartisan project. The results are obvs devastating. People fleeing economic, social, and political destruction. (1/2)
I’ve transferred some of the stickers from my old laptop to the new one, but some didn’t survive and I have room to fill. Anyone want to trade stickers (especially 50mm hex)? I can send #PsyTeachR, #ManyFaces, #PsySciAcc and/or progress pride stickers (all matte vinyl)
I couldn’t find an open instance to make a mastodon account for #ManyFaces, so I’ve made a #quartoPub website/blog instead! We also have a snazzy new domain name.
#ManyFaces has been awarded £39k from the #BBSRC International Partnerships scheme via University of Glasgow MVLS to develop distributed image collection protocols for more diverse face research image sets!
Project led by Vít Trebicky, Thora Bjornsdottir and Lisa DeBruine. Contact me if you’re interested in more info or being involved. We’ll set up a website for full transparency soon.
The #ManyFaces stimulus collection working group is starting a project to develop standard protocols for face image capture, so that researchers can contribute to a collaborative database. If you use faces in your research, we'd love to hear what types of images are most useful to you.
