"You Beat Me to the Punch" is a soul #single by #Motown singer #MaryWells, released on the Motown label in 1962. It was co-written by #SmokeyRobinson of #theMiracles, who was responsible for most of the hits released by Wells, along with another Miracles member, #RonnieWhite, during her time as a Motown artist. Following the success of the previous single, "#TheOneWhoReallyLovesYou", Motown released "You Beat Me to the Punch" shortly after it was produced.

Mary Wells Sings My Guy is the fourth studio album and fifth overall album released by Motown vocalist Mary Wells. The album features her signature hit of the same name (which had already appeared on Greatest Hits earlier in the year) and the proposed singles "Whisper You Love Me Boy" and "He's the One I Love", the latter later re-recorded by Tammi Terrell during her own brief Motown tenure. It turned out to be the last studio effort Wells released for Motown as she left the label that year for 20th Century Fox Records. - Wikipedia

Mary Wells is the self-titled sixth studio album released by Mary Wells. The album was her first album with 20th Century Fox, a year after she left her old label, Motown, the label that she had produced its first hits with. While this album was boosted by the top 40 success of the Motown-esque "Use Your Head", the album received little notice and its following singles including the top 50 hit, "Ain't It the Truth?" and "Stop Taking Me for Granted", which peaked at a dismal number 88 pop, performed poorer for an artist who a year ago had scored her first No. 1 hit with "My Guy". This and Love Songs to the Beatles were the only albums she released with 20th Century Fox.
Riley Hampton was the uncredited arranger, with Norman Schwartz responsible for cover design. - Wikipedia

Together is the first and only studio album released by the duo team of American Motown artists Marvin Gaye and Mary Wells. It was released on the Motown label on April 15, 1964. The album brought Gaye together with Wells, an established star with a number-one pop hit to her name (1964's "My Guy"), singing mostly standards and show tunes, in the hopes that Gaye would benefit from the exposure.
This album became the first charted album credited to Gaye, peaking at number 42 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart and yielding two top 20 singles, "Once Upon a Time" and "What's the Matter with You Baby". Shortly afterwards, upon reaching twenty-one, Wells, who received bad advice from her former husband and manager, left Motown... - Wikipedia
