Just on my way home from seeing The Life Of Chuck.
Based on a Stephen King story, adapted & directed by Mike Flanagan, about what's important in life.
Great cast, lots (just the right amount) of trademark Flanagan monologues, and some lovely dreamlike scenes.
Thoroughly enjoyed it.
I read some reviews calling it a bit hokey, but I think they were written by miserable bollixes.

Un homme, un chien, un side-car, un désert et contre toute attente, le personnage principal est la ville, ou la Chine ou la civilisation enfin, c'est pas clair mais Black Dog n'est pas un film qui se laisse décoder facilement. Par contre c'est un film magnifique, empli de poésie, de plans magnifiques et surtout d'humanité.
Bonus : Pink Floyd, aussi incongru que ce soit, est un excellent choix pour la musique.

Je viens de voir "The apprentice" , ce nest pas joyeux!!! 😮😮😮la b.o. anxiogene au possible, les images de New York sont bien,et surtout c'est extrêmement bien joué! si le but était qu'on aime encore moins Trump je trouve au contraire que le debut partie du film donne un certain contexte à sa noirceur...certaines scènes soulèvent le cœur, mais bravo Sébastien Stan! J'ai suivi Gossip Girl et jamais j'aurais imagine un rôle pareil des années après! Sinistre Jeremy Strong mais trè bon! Aussi l'actrice qui joue Ivana Trump est impec! #AliceDarling is a small, quiet, wise film about an abusive relationship - carried by #AnnaKendrick, who has rarely been cast as well as here. The film subtly shows how abuse easily takes place without physical violence and how a person is at risk of breaking. It is also a film about women's friendship and the support it can provide when everything else collapses. Watch this and take a closer look if u suspect that someone is not doing well in their relationship.
#Saltburn is a visually beautiful, breathtaking film. And yes, it relies a view times on shock value and revulsion - something that generally rarely upsets me. Here it results in some absolutely gorgeous, iconic scenes. What annoys me, however, is when an exciting film runs out of steam at the end and everything seems rushed and the final events seem ill-conceived. A more opulent "The Talented Mr. Ripley", albeit less clever and precise.
That style of comedy where you repeat the joke again and again until it becomes unfunny and then keep going much further until it becomes funny again? I have just realised that I view the filmography of Wes Anderson in a similar way. And Asteroid City was just a delight, and occasionally very funny.
